  4.     Thank you for trying WinCharging.  It's the newest and 
  5.     best way to manage your credit cards.

  7.     WinCharging can do a lot more than simply monitor credit 
  8.     card expenditures.  If you use credit cards to earn car 
  9.     rebates or to get money back, WinCharging can help you earn 
  10.     even more.  When you've reached the maximum rebate on one 
  11.     card, WinCharging warns you so you can switch to another 
  12.     income-producing card.  That way your credit cards are 
  13.     always working for you.

  15.     If you're just trying to come to terms with what you spend
  16.     on your cards, WinCharging helps you figure out where,
  17.     exactly, your money is going.  You can categorize your 
  18.     records to your heart's content.  And generating reports is 
  19.     simplicity itself.  It even does Tax Summaries.

  45.                  SHAREWARE VERSION

  47.     This is the "try before you buy" Version of WinCharging,
  48.     otherwise known as the Trial Version.

  50.     It is a full-featured, fully functional program that you can 
  51.     test on your computer for three full months.  After that 
  52.     period you can continue to access your existing records, but 
  53.     you will no longer be able to create new ones.

  57.                HARDWARE/SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

  59.     WinCharging requires Windows 3.1 or 3.11, 4 MB RAM, 2.2 MB 
  60.     of hard disk space, and a 386DX or better.  It is Win95 
  61.     compatible and runs well in Warp 3.0's full-screen or 
  62.     seamless Windows boxes.

  68.                 INSTALLATION
  69.  
  70.     To ensure a perfect installation, make sure you have all of 
  71.     the files listed in CONTENTS.TXT.  If any are missing, 
  72.     contact your shareware distributor immediately.

  74.     If you downloaded WinCharging's ZIP file and expanded it on 
  75.     your hard disk, you can either copy the files to a floppy 
  76.     to create an installation disk or simply install WinCharging 
  77.     from your hard drive (which is considerably faster).

  79.     To install, start Windows.  Open the File Menu and click 
  80.     Run.  Put the installation disk in your a: drive and enter 
  81.     A:SETUP on Run's command line.  If you put the disk in your 
  82.     b: drive, enter B:SETUP.  If you're installing from a 
  83.     directory on your hard drive, enter the full path plus 
  84.     SETUP (for example: C:\TEMPDIR\SETUP).

  86.     Setup checks to ensure that your system meets certain 
  87.     requirements.  If all is in order, it displays the default 
  88.     directory for WinCharging's files.

  90.     You can put WinCharging's files in any directory you wish,
  91.     but as with any other major program, the files should be 
  92.     placed in their own directory, and that directory should be
  93.     right off the root directory (e.g., C:\WINCHARG) for 
  94.     optimum drive efficiency.

  98.                   GETTING STARTED
  99.  
  100.     WinCharging comes with a special online Help file called 
  101.     MeFirst!.  It's easy to read and comes with loads of 
  102.     graphics to simplify the setup process.  When you start 
  103.     WinCharging the first time, it asks you if you would like
  104.     to see MeFirst!.  Reply yes.
  105.  
  106.     With both WinCharging and MeFirst! open, you can simply
  107.     <Alt>+<Tab> back and forth, first reading MeFirst! about 
  108.     how to do something, then switching back to WinCharging
  109.     to actually do it.

  111.     When you no longer need MeFirst! you can delete it by 
  112.     selecting a command found on the File Menu.
